Question #1: Fronting? - UK Car Insurance?
Hi,
Could anyone give a proper definition of "fronting" regarding car insurance in the UK?
For example, who goes under the heading of a fronter? In which cases would it be illegal to go under a more experienced driver's insurance policy?
I understand why a 17 year old who just got their driving licence wouldn't be allowed to hide behind their parents' 20 years of No Claims, but would a 25 year old be able to go on their parents' policy?
I've tried looking at the insurers' websites but they'll happily give a quote for anything, even if it's illegal, without saying so, so I can never be sure if it's wrong or not
Thanks :)

Question #2: What is a good car insurance company in upstate NYS?
I'm a 17 year old female. 2003 Oldsmobile Alero is the car, and I have my own job. Most sites I've visited won't give me a quote unless I register with them, and my dad threw a fit when I was checking out the insurance company he has, because he doesn't want them to know he has an underage driver in the house, driving his truck. I'm looking for a good company, but cheaper would be preferable. I'm saving up for college and an apartment, here. I can't afford car insurance with benefits I don't need yet.

Question #3: Cheap car insurance ?
Does anybody know how to get cheap car insurance in the UK I passed my test last week im 17. My dad has a car so we could do multicar all the quotes I've been getting are about £3000
Question #4: msn or hotmail email contact?
I am getting FED UP with my hotmail account. first of all, the account in question was created for junk stuff like facebook and myspace that I don't want to look at all day. I hadn't used it in awhile, and forgot my password and it's not accepting my security answer. I requested to have the password sent to me and it said "based on my information they can't give me the password."
I am trying to log in because somehow my email is being entered in websites (with MY INFO) and I'm getting calls from car insurance companies saying I requested quotes which I didn't. I don't want more calls from anyone else.
ALL I WANT IS A STUPID CUSTOMER SERVICE email!! It keeps bouncing me around the site. Does anyone know a customer service general email for MSN OR HOTMAIL?
thank you!

Question #6: Motorcycle insurance cost in Ireland.?
I'm thinking of getting a motorcycle soon, either a honda cbr 250rr from about 1995, s 400cc sportsbike from the same era (i suppose i'd have to restrict these to 33bhp), or a restricted 600 like a yamaha r6. I've yet to go for my motorcycle provisional and I'm 26 and have never even driven a car before so this will be my first vehicle, so any idea on the price for each would be much appreciated, i'm finidng it a bit of a pain trying to get an online quote with some of the details they're asking.
Question #7: RAC CAR INSURANCE HELP!?
I purchased car insurance from RAC last year, they then annulled it as said I could not use my no claims bonus on two cars and sent me a new quote. I rang them up and they then said I haven't sent the no claims bonus documents in so I faxed them through once again, I advised I received this letter but they said just send in the documents which I did. I also never received any documents for my cover so had to request these myself which were sent by email for £25.00 :S. After hearing nothing back I rang rac for an update who said my new insurance quote was double the original quote!! I haven't signed any paperwork or received any paperwork advising they automatically gave me new insurance.
I asked them to cancel but they said I have to pay £1000 as well as them keeping my deposit and paying for the first months insurance..£1000?? I told them no. Paid what i owed for the first month. Now they are sending me letter telling me to pay..do I really have to do this?? I haven't signed anything even for the original insurance as they never sent the paperwork out, and as the insurance was annulled can they really automatically start a new insurance without my permission??
Thanks in advance

Question #8: Help! legal advice or right action advice needed?
In October 2010, I bought a motor insurance policy by monthly direct debit instalment. However the insurer cancelled my policy on 1st March 2011 for no 'real' reason. They claimed my payment in Feb 2011 was rejected but my bank confirmed no any sign of rejection. then insurer offered me a new policy at a double price. I complained to insurer but they didn't prepare to restore my policy. so my complaint went to Financial Ombudsman. I expect Financial Ombudsman to do justice for me - restore my policy back. As far as I understood, I had a motor insurance policy, I didn't do any thing wrong, so the insurer's cancellation should not be valid; my insurance policy should be still valid though insurer informed me their cancellation. That's my believe. At first, I had to use taxis for children's life, then turns too expensive to maintain. I also shopped around for alternative insurance but quotes I got at the time all were extreme high - up to three times as expensive (up to £1500) as my original policy. I felt that was not reasonable; the whole experience seemed showing a state that society has no order,no justice; insurance companies could do whatever they want to explore customers. My instinct told me that I should defend my right - I didn't purchase any those quotes and hope Financial Ombudsman would do justice for me- I requested the insurer to restore my policy back.
While waiting for justice, I couldn't lead a life without driving a car for sake of children; as the result, I had to apparently drive without insurance. One day I was stopped by police and they prosecuted me to court on the basis of no insurance. it cost me more than £200 to get car back from Police and now the court fined me £195.00 but didn't put 6 points penalty on my driving licence. What does that mean? Am I supposed to be guilty?
My strong sense of Justice told me this is not justice! I believe my policy should have still been valid; the insurer's cancellation was not valid. I should not be accounted as no insurance. the insurer's behaviour should be corrected if there is true justice. It's not I had no insurance; I didn't do anything wrong; it's the insurer's wrongly behaviour caused my situation. By the time when police stopped me and I shopped around for a new insurance again, the quotes come back to normal price and I bought a new policy at around £500. Recently I noticed one of reporst on Office Fair Trading website also pointed out that motor insurance Premium soured up to 40% annually by the 31 March 2011 and there was an investigation on that. should I be punished of 'guilty'?
please provide your opinion and advices. what I should do? do you think I was guilty?
many thanks in advance for your comments.

Question #11: Minor speeding ticket as a young male, what should I do?
Short story short. Classic random town on a highway. Speed is 80km/h before town, in town it's 50km/h for 2-3 lights, and after it's 70km/h then back to 80km/h promptly. I was leaving the town on the main road and was 200-300 meters from the 70km/h sign. I could see it. Provincial/state trooper was on a side street hidden behind trees with all lights off and running. Saw her sitting, then lights flicked. Game over. Got a 77km/h in a 50km/h. I was nice to her and she reduced it to 65km/h in a 50km/h zone. This was also technically a community safety zone so the fines were doubled. This was an OPP officer in Ontario. The total payable amount is $95.
Note I came back about 5 minutes later on the exact same road but went exactly 50km/h. The cars behind me were in my ass and flashing their lights at me. I switched lanes and they passed me like a rocket. Trooper did nothing. I was impending traffic at the posted 50km/h. I was driving a old Honda Accord but it has zero modifications. I have no records on me before of any driving tickets or criminal records. Maybe it was a case of pull over the young male in the old Honda? Not sure. Because they didn't pull over the other cars the next time when the passed me and were flashing lights behind me...
Anyways. Companies are quoting me $300 to $400 to try and evade the ticket. For 15km/h over, is this worth it for me? I am 19, G class license, no previous infractions, running on my parents insurance as a primary driver. I know my rate will go up for 3 years when after then record would be dropped.
1) What do you think I should do in my situation? Pay the ticket and face it? Or pay a lump sum and and try to get it solved? (What happens if I pay them and the court DOESN'T withdraw the charge, do the companies refund me or something?)

Question #12: Question about teen car insurance?
Okay so, I'm really excited about getting my license tomorrow. The thing is, I'm only going to be 16 and my mom doesn't have insurance. I don't plan to drive until we get it, but to be honest we are kind of poor. My moms attitude is basically don't get in a crash and you'll be alright. I don't feel that way at all. The only time my mom ever had insurance is when my step dad paid it for her, but now they are divorced and we have none. The thing is I'm not sure I can pay the high insurance rates, even with my job. I know insurance rates for teens are sky high. I believe the last time my mom had insurance on her car (which is the one I will be driving most of the time) it was about $70. But I got a quote from our old insurance company and when I added my name, it shot up to $200 a month. So my question is can I just have my moms name on the policy? I won't be driving it everyday and I thought as long as the car itself is insured then it wouldn't matter. I'm kinda desperate and don't know what to do. I'll be paying the insurance if we get it. And since I'm underage I can't get my own policy.
