I've been looking at car insurance quotes for a ford fiesta (haven't bought a car yet just using fiesta as an example).

I have heard that car insurance online is not a safe way and we should not even register for quotes. what do you say, is there any reliable company offering services online?

I Live in California near Sacramento I'm about to purchase a 2010 Shelby GT500 I'm 21 with a perfect driving record I'm trying to find the Cheapest insurance out there I tried Gieco Progressive all the major company's is there any other Company's that you know of that has good rates? I'm gonna just go ahead and do the whole year insurance, My cheapest insurance quote i got fora whole year was $1,809 anything cheaper or is that going to be the cheapest one out there for me since of my age and its a brand new car? Iv owned several Mustang's 95 5.0 convertible and a 98, i was paying 90 to 105 a month with Geico, But there insurance isn't looking up to the best right now...

why are we ripped off so badly when it comes to car insurance.
i don't believe we claim any more or cost insurance companies more than other parts of the U.K.
i have relatives in England and Scotland and if i type in their postcode for a quote it is always several hundred pounds cheaper than where i live.
i firmly believe we are paying a premium for cheaper quotes for residents of the rest of the U.K.
all companies or brokers are part of a main insurer/bank based in the U.K.

if you work in the insurance industry i'd love to hear your reasons.
Timbo, i can't agree. are you really saying car crime is a bigger cost in N.I. than parts of london, liverpool, manchester, birmingham, glasgow, cardiff, edinburgh, swansea or any other major U.K. town.

I haven't bought a car yet but quotes for oldish corsa, micra and other 1L cars. My mum will most likely drive the car more than me so i would go on her insurance third party. quotes have been coming in for £2300 at the cheapest. Some friends are getting Their insurance for 700-1000 for 1.3 cars how? my mums got no claims or anything so am i filling in the quote info wrong or is that it. also what is the cheapest car to get and should i wait until i'm 18. Need the car for practise because im not very confident and also running down to the beach for bbQs and stuff.

I'm turning 17 in April, I was just wondering what the average car insurance prices for somone who is 17. I tried getting a quote but seeing as i dont actually have a car yet, its been quite difficult.
How do they give quotes, based upon engine size, make or something completely different?

I tried doing quotes but it asks for too much information. I dont wanna keep receiving calls from car insurance places annoying me to get it with them. I have a 1998 Chrysler Intrepid. Dodge i think? Doesnt Dodge own Chrysler? whatever, thats what it says on my registration.

Her friend, Cory, got in a wreck (a small one that wasn't his fault, it was the other peoples) and went to a place to see about having his car fixed. They did a quote and sent it to the insurance agent and Cory got a check for the amount to fix the car. Well yesterday they ran into someone who said they could fix it for a little less but my cousin doesn't think he can do that and he thinks he can. She asked me what I think and I have no clue so I figured I'd ask the best The Yahoo Q and A community!! Other info is the insurance company just communicates to Cory not the mechanic. The mechanic doesn't even know if the quote will be approved. Clearly it was cause Cory got the check so this makes me think he can go anywhere to have his car fixed that he isn't obligated to this one mechanic. The parts have not been ordered and he just found out that the guy is real busy fixing cars and stuff he's afraid it will take too long and he can only have rental for so long. Does Cory have the right to choose another place to have his car fixed? This other guy can fix it right away and for a little cheaper. Thanks!!

I'm buying a new car in a few days and i was quoted about $1100 every 6 months

My car insurance policy expires on 8th May 2010, but my last payment is on 8th March 2010 so when will I receive the proof of no claims certificate? Im getting a new car so am changing my insurer as the premium is too high with my current insurer but the extra year no claims would be handy as i was quoted £100 less with the extra year no claims, does anyone know when Ill receive it as my policy will have been paid in full in 2days time so I dont see why i cant have the certificate as soon as the annual premium is complete, thanks!

I posted 2 things for sale (one being my car) on Craigslist just to see if I'd get any buyers. Two people that replied about my car both had a similar story and both asked a strange question about car insurance and wanted me to go to the link they provided (auto quotes) to find out FOR them. WHY CAN'T THEY LOOK THEMSELVES? VERY VERY VERY suspicious.

On the second item I had for sale (furniture) I got 2 so-called buyers that acted interested and claimed that they would buy it and both wanted me to remove my ad ASAP. And both claimed that they lived too far away to come and get it themselves and both said that they would have someone come out and pick it up via UPS/Currier and both said they would pay via Certified Check.

Am I smart for being extremely suspicious of these people and not believing a word they say?
Besides, I would NEVER accept a check from anyone. If it's not cash then they can just forget it! I'm glad I didn't give any personal information to either of these 4 people. Gosh, I haven't got even one serious buyer for either thing.

Here is a little background info...I am a month away from joining the navy and going to flight school, I am 26 no health problems and my wife is 23 with no health problems. I went to get car insurance and the lady suggested i get life insurance now why I am still considered a substitute teacher. She said once I join the military It will require A lot more info and also my career will be considered hazordous. Does this sound right? And finally she just did a quick quaote and to cover my wife and myself each for 250k it will cost just under 70 dollars. This is also whole life not term and she said after a certain amount of time I could also cash the policy out and even make money ( something like 30 yrs). Does all this sound legit and does the quote sound reasonable, it was also state farm if that makes a difference. Thanks
